Percy Train!

October 26th, 2008 , Posted in family, love, motherhood

Grams is here visiting from Florida so we wanted to bring her to a few events we had this weekend – We sure kept her busy!!!  Yesterday we headed out for an action packed day!  In the morning we went to the Woblin Goblin Walk where the kids dressed up in their costumes and paraded through town!  The local shops and business owners stood outside their places of work and handed out candy to all the kids that passed by… Needless to say Jackson thought it the greatest thing ever – you walk down the street and people hand you candy!! I think we’re in for it the night of halloween… But luckily – he got 5 pieces and that was plenty for him.  He couldn’t decide which lollipop was better so he had to have both…The few other pieces –  a package of candy corns, a mini crunch bar and a swedish fish package had to be eaten by the end of the day — today is payback! Sugar overload!!!!!

After we went to the walk we headed to the Essex Clamfest.  There was a clam chowder competition with 13 different restaurants – pony rides – pumpkin painting- a bounce house and all kinds of venders.. Jackson hung out with cousin Morgan and hit all the events… It was an action packed day to say the least!  He loved going on the pony – he went on twice!  He held on like such a big man and made it look like he had done it 10 times before — Silly bear!

Molly girl was a little blessing and slept through both events in the stroller — filled her belly right before we headed out both times and she was good to go!!!!
Hopefully the sugar detox will go well as he’s cut off until halloween!! I don’t enjoy a sugar filled jacksonbear as much as the nonsugarfilled jacksonbear — whew – its been a rough few days!! haha..

Happy Fall

Hugs,

One last day…

October 16th, 2008 , Posted in family, love, motherhood, uncategorized

The day before Molly was born, Rick, Jackson and I spent the day at the apple orchard doing the things Jackson loves to do –  Climb in the pumpkin patch – feeding all the animals – eating a cider donut and of course going on the swing set!  We had such a perfect day as a family of three – soaking up every minute of just me and my little buddy one last day.  Since I am never in front of the camera and I knew with the arrival of Ms. Molly I definitely won’t be in front of the camera with two adorable models to shoot now, I had Rick take a few pictures of Jackson and I together (finally!!)  I love these  - I love everything about them!

Cider Donuts!

So big that little man!

But, now that Molly is here – what they say is true – My heart has grown bigger, I can’t remember our life before her, and I fall in love with Jackson more and more when I see how amazing he is with his little sister.  Despite all the fears I had of how he would adjust, would he be upset with me, would he share mom and dad etc. he has surpassed everything I worried about and has been amazing.  He just loves her so much and I know they are going to be the best of friends…   He is so gentle and caring and always wants to help.  He runs to get a new diaper when I ask and comes running back yelling ‘here you go, this is for you Molly Boo!’  Where Molly Boo came from, I have no idea – but its what he calls her!

In true new parents (again) fashion — here are a few of our favorite hospital pictures! (yes, unedited! IMAGINE!)

Kisses for baby Molly!

MORE kisses!! (can you hear that kiss!?)

The Love’s of my life…

YAY!!!

Jackson’s first meeting Molly!

Such a big brother – Holding his new sister! “So pretty” he was saying…

Too cute!

Yay for our new baby!!

Coming home as a family of four!! (mimi caught a little sunflare!!)

So proud!

Admiring his new sister with dad… those piggies are so grown up!!!

I am so grateful for the blessings we have been given – Our family has grown and the love for my husband and children (PLURAL!!) has grown far more then I ever imagined it could.  Jackson, Mommy is so proud of you! You are doing such a good job as a new big brother!  Molly, you are the angel I prayed for all my life – thank you for being my little girl!  Rick, I couldn’t be more grateful to be on this journey with you – You are my best friend and a amazing father/husband.  I know how lucky Jackson and Molly are to have you as their Dad – and I know one day they will know too.

Here’s to the new adventure of our family of FOUR!!

xoxo
